FITZE'S COMPANY PROFILE.
Founded in 1981 by Garry Fitzpatrick and his wife Madelon, Fitzpatrick
Electrical Contractor Inc. (also known as "Fitze") started off as
a small contractor focused on the construction of specialty power and
environment for computer facilities, and the financial institutions.
With a small number of employees and working out of the house Garry
serviced a small but loyal group of clients, who knew that no matter how
demanding, or technically challenging their requirements were, Fitze
would get it done. The business under the guidance of Garry and Madelon enjoyed a steady and productive growth.
Later joined by his stepsons John and
Robert Somers in 1988/89 the company continued to service and expand
it's customer base and enjoy a steady growth in business. The
company quickly incorporated a data/voice cabling group,
commercial/industrial construction group, and a small specialized
residential group. Keeping true to its roots the business has
always worked hard at its core expertise, the telecommunications
industry (Computer Rooms, Generators, UPS systems), and the financial
institutions.
Late in
2000 it was decided that Madelon and Garry would at some point need to
retire, and so began the long arduous road known as succession planning.
Hard as it may seem to some we now find ourselves in 2006 with John and
Robert firmly sharing the management responsibilities, Madelon retired
and enjoying the freedom, and Garry occupying his office just long
enough so as not to interfere with his golf, and a great crew of some 36
people. |
